Critical assistance for low-income and homeless transgender people living in Massachusetts. Founded in 2008, the Transgender Emergency Fund is the only organization dedicated to supporting low-income and homeless Transgender individuals in Massachusetts. They assist with homelessness prevention, shelter assistance, nutrition assistance, prescription co-pay assistance, transportation, and escort to medical appointments.
The Trevor ProjectWest Hollywood, CA
The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth. They save lives through peer support, research, education, public awareness, and advocacy. The Trevor Project’s programs exist on platforms where young people feel most comfortable, including a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text, and TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe-space social networking site for LGBTQ youth. In 2020, more than 150,000 crisis contacts were made and 95% of young people who reached out experienced de-escalation from suicidal thoughts.

Since 2003, NBJC has been dedicated to the empowerment of Black LGBTQ+/SGL people, including people living with HIV/AIDS through coalition building, federal policy change, research, and education. Our mission is to end racism, homophobia, and LGBTQ+/SGL bias and stigma. NBJC supports Black individuals, families, and communities in strengthening the bonds and bridging the gaps between the movements for racial justice and LGBTQ+/SGL equity. We envision a world where all people are fully empowered to participate safely, openly, and honestly in family, faith, and community, regardless of race, class, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

Rainbow Railroad is a global not-for-profit organization that helps LGTBQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics. In a time when there are more displaced people than ever before, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.
